Here are a few things I learned about Latex Masks: Final detailed texture is very important and liquid latex really smells.  But it’s a really great process. Here you can see part of the step-by-step documentary that I made with this mask.

  • First you sculpt the theme that you choose (in this case the skull of a feline) until you have the proportions and volume desired.

  • Next you start creating texture in all the areas that the mask will be seen.

  • Once you are satisfied with the final look, you carefully apply cast on your work. Be sure to apply several layers so that it’s thick enough.

  • After it dries, clean out the modeling clay until the cast is completely cleared.

  • Apply and many layers of latex as you need.

  • When its dry peal off from the cast mold and paint!
