TREE GNOMES
MAKING OF
This season's Christmas tree is Gnome Themed. So instead of buying the ornaments I hand crafted them. Each Gnome had its own shape of nose, volume of hair, crooked hat and pinecone. It was a very therapeutic process for me and I can say im very pleased with the outcome! My only regret is that I didn't get the chance to do a short animation with them, but then again, now know how to apply hair for future projects.
-
First you make noses out our a-dry clay that fit in size with the head.
-
Next you polish them when they are dry.
-
Once they have the desired shape paint them and glue them to the head.
-
After it dries, start glueing hair (furry yarn in this case) from the bottom to the top.
-
Apply as many layers of hair as you wish.
-
Top it off with a long slender cone hat with stuffing and a thin wire to bend as you wish.
